EMERGENCY USA provides support to projects that offer free, high quality medical and surgical treatment for the victims of war and poverty.
History
Groups of supporters have been active in the USA since 2005. On September 4, 2008 EMERGENCY USA - Life Support for Civilian Victims of War and Poverty was incorporated as a not-for-profit in the District of Columbia.
EMERGENCY USA’s medical-humanitarian mission is inspired by the innovation, integrity and accomplishments of the international NGO based in Italy, EMERGENCY which has operated independently since 1994.
