This conference will address the health affects of war as it relates to mental
health, environmental health, clinical medicine, women’s health, and
public health.
Speakers include:
Michael Westerhaus, M.A., anthropologist, has worked with Partners in Health and Harvard to research infectious disease in Uganda
Les Roberts, M.P.H.,Ph.D. epidemiologist, known for his study published in the Lancet on Iraqi civilian causalities
Aun Lor, M.P.H. Expert in public health from a human rights perspective.
There will also be expert panelists discussing different aspects of research,
field work, and personal experiences from working in war zones.
