How EMERGENCY USA Operates
In Brief

In Brief

How We Operate

Two basic factors are weighed before EMERGENCY USA decides whether or not to support a project:

1) The effective need for specialized medical or surgical services

2) The absence of similar humanitarian projects or medical services in the given region

We believe health care is a basic human right. Thus, EMERGENCY USA supports projects that:

- offer medical and surgical treatment free of charge

- provide high quality assistance

- guarantee treatment to anyone in need of assistance, without any racial, ideological, or political discrimination

- employ standardized therapeutic and work protocols which have been tried and tested in emergency situations

- train local staff with the goal of ultimately handing over all operations of a given medical center to local authorities as soon as self-sustainability is proven

EMERGENCY USA supports:

  • Hospitals and healthcare facilities dedicated to war victims
  • Hospitals offering surgical emergency care and specialized therapy in places where there are none
  • Physical and social rehabilitation centers
  • First aid posts for emergency treatment
  • Health care centers for primary medical assistance
