Afghanistan: NATO’s combat mission officially comes to an end

On the 28th of December, NATO’s combat mission in Afghanistan officially came to an end.

There are those who see positive aspects in the ‘peace keeping campaign’ of the last 13 years.

Unfortunately, our view is different. In recent years, EMERGENCY’s three hospitals in Afghanistan have admitted more than 14,000 injured by bullet, more than 7000 injured by explosion and more than 4000 injured by landmines.

EMERGENCY and our 25,000 injured, will always continue to think that war is not the right tool to establish peace.
