Salma, Salma, Zaina, Islam, Marwa, Sahar, Sahar, Amal, Hajer, Noor, Suwiba, Sara, Sara, Tibyan, and Samah. This is my team that runs the blood bank at the Salam Centre for Cardiac Surgery, and I am so proud of it.
Ensuring the right to medical care relies on teamwork. But it also relies on blood donors, the real heroes behind many healthcare stories who contribute to making our world a better place.
Today, we thank all those who give blood, and also call for future blood donors: open your heart, roll up your sleeve and donate blood!
