About Us
EMERGENCY is an independent nonprofit organization that provides support for medical care, rehabilitation and relief efforts for the victims of wars, land mines, poverty and natural disasters around the world.
Healing wounds heals devastated communities
In today’s conflicts 90 percent of the victims are civilians, of which one in three are children. Every year, war takes the lives of millions of unarmed people worldwide.
In response to human suffering caused by wars, there is an urgent need to promote relief through uncompromising medical excellence. We believe that healing wounds heals communities devastated by wars.
EMERGENCY USA is an independent, non-profit organization with 501(c)3 tax exempt status from the IRS.
EMERGENCY USA supports EMERGENCY’s healthcare projects in conflict and post conflict areas.
Our programs
The programs we support provide free-of-charge, high-standard medical and surgical care in war-torn areas. All facilities are designed, built and managed by the Italian NGO EMERGENCY and specialized international staff who are committed to training local medical personnel.
